The Nature Storytelling Fellowship

Our fellowship program amplifies local and diverse voices in nature conservation. We provide emerging nature storytellers with mentorship, professional-grade resources, and the guidance needed to bring local, impactful narratives about the natural world to life.

GEAR

01

Fellows are provided with professional-grade equipment, which they get to keep after the fellowship program is finished, to continue telling their stories.

02

WORKSHOP

Hands-on, in-person, multi-day crash course, that covers everything from project development to technical explanations of how to use the equipment.

Fellows are supported as they each go on to create their piece of work with the support of a dedicated mentor who guides remotely throughout production.

SCREENING

04

The program culminates in a public screening where fellows present their work to the local conservation community, industry professionals, and the broader public.

Once a fellow, always a fellow. Project mentors and Kogia team stay connected with fellows, checking in twice a year and offering ongoing advice and feedback as they progress in their careers.
